THIS Video footage provided by an Animal Control Officer in New Jersey. THIS IS A TNR CAT-IT HAS A MARKED TIPPED EAR SHOWING THE TNR PROGRAM NEUTERED THE CAT. This video footage was taken near a rest area of the NJ Turnpike. The grey cat shown in the video is ear-tipped and injured. You will see the cat sitting on a metal bar. Note the swollen right leg. You will see the cat attempt to climb over the metal bar. You will then see the cat dragging the back right leg, escaping capture by going under a fence. The cat was later found nearby - dead. How could anyone consider this to be an ethical or compassionate outcome for this animal? ALSO NOTE OUTDOOR CATS ARE HIGHLY PARASIZED WITH HUNDREDS OF FLEAS UPON THEIR BODY-THEY BITE EVEN THE EYELIDS AND NOSTRILS. You cannot treat feral cats. They run away from people. Many cats become anemic due to multiple flea bites drinking their blood. Life outdoors is NEVER in the best interest of the cat. check out www.TRNrealitycheck.com This is the truth behind those "trap-neuter-release" programs-these cat compounds become a favorite dumping ground for people to get rid of their cat (oftentimes not spay/neutered). These TNR (trap-neuter-release) programs Releasing domestic companion animals to live and die in cat colonies is not a humane or compassionate outcome for these animals. Free-roaming cats pose a public health risk. There is no evidence that colony management programs will reduce diseases. Any time there is a dense concentration of animals there is increased risk for the spread of diseases (cat to cat, cat to wild animal, cat to human). Rabies vector species such as raccoons (squirrels) and skunks frequently dine alongside cats in colonies. Colonies consists of feral, semi-feral, stray, abandoned and free-roaming pet cats. Private and commercial property owners may not want cat colonies next to them. Did you know in 2006, in the USA, 316 cases of cat rabies (there were 80 cases for dogs in the USA in 2006). Cats are more elusive, and hunt wildlife. Some captured wildlife are rabid.

This is a video that I took of the Florida Fresh Water Game Commission and Animal Control capturing a wild Alligator behind my house who had been feed raw meat by vacationers who were living next door. It is against the law to feed Alligators and is a 5,000 dollar fine and 1 year in prison. This is very dangerous because the Alligator will become used to humans, it will cause it to come closer to houses in the community and could kill or feed upon people and their pets. Unfortunately, most Alligators that are used to humans must be killed or kept in captivity because of the ignorant people who started feeding them.
