Program Assistance

One of the things that makes our profession unique is the fact that animal care and control services are determined at the local jurisdictional level. There is no template for animal control programs that we can assume will work in any one city or county. While this may often leave us feeling isolated, and without resource, it can be perceived as a primary strength of the Washington Animal Control Association. No matter what the problem you may be facing, whether its budget, dealing with elected officials, board of directors, citizen groups, disease control, ordinance revisions, licensing, criminal prosecutions, strategic planning, or even personal career burnout, you may rest assured that within our association others have had to deal with something similar. With a little communication we can support and learn from each other's experiences.

Got a problem? Don’t reinvent the wheel. Give your area representative or a board officer a call. This will get some inquiries started on your behalf. Helping each other is what this association is all about!
