Animal Services Operations Manager

Kent, Washington

Reporting to the Animal Services Program Manager, this position will provide strategic leadership in achieving the organization’s mission & managing the day-to-day operations of the King County Animal Services program. Duties include:

· Managing the personnel & equipment for the shelter & field operations and the call center in support of the animal services program.

· Supervises the shelter and field sergeants.

· Plan, develop, implement, & review the Animal Services work plan.

· Organize, coordinate & manage the operations of the section toward the goal of eliminating euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals & ensuring best practices in service delivery.

· Assist in preparing & administering the section’s annual budget; monitor expenditures; ensure maintenance of accurate & complete financial records.

· Develop & implement long and short-term goals and objectives; develop & implement policies & procedures.

· Develop & implement effective & efficient field enforcement processes & procedures.

· Coordinate & ensure resolution of complex complaints concerning service delivery.

· Conduct and/or oversee training of staff.

· Work with vendors, partners, & volunteers in achieving the organization’s mission and goals.
