Myself and a couple other dedicated individuals are running out of ideas on how to catch a white shepherd that has been loose since the 9th of September 2009!
He originally was a owner surrender to a local vet clinic and while out at a fosters home became scared and jumped their 3ft fence. (He should never been let off leash in the first place!)
He is a nice boy who is simply really fast, shy, and has not had an opportunity to bond to anyone. We have been keeping tabs on him by posting signs, and so far have had enormous community support.
We have tried to lure him into a fenced area (He moves around too fast to predict where he will be next). We are trying to get a large live trap…(so far the rescues dont have one big enough or its broken, or its not able to be leased out). Have also though about a dart gun (with a licenced vet at the trigger) but we never seem to be in the right place at the right time, and we are very worried that once darted he would run too far before the seditive could take effect.
At this point ANY advice would be great!
